All Saints Eve....

Wow! - It's the end of October, indeed the last day which means it is "All Saints Eve!". I don't agree with the commercialism of "Halloween", and hopefully the "pooper" notice on our front door will deter would be "trick or treaters". After a damp misty start to today, the sun broke through to allow a very pleasant afternoon. Hoping for an excellent sunset, I ended up disappointed, with the Sun still bright in the low sky and disappearing very quickly below the horizon.

Good Morning.......Hillmorton!

This morning dawned with spectacular colours as the sun rose, promising to be a pleasant day. These thoughts were soon eroded as cloud preceded dullness and rain showers!

Late Afternoon.....

The day didn't really start until lunchtime, with rain for most of the morning. The afternoon was rather pleasant, and I had high hopes of a good sunset this evening. I was to be disappointed with the latter - the sun was bright on the horizon, dipped below with nothing more than a yellow tinge! Although it was dusk, I did try to capture some autumnal colour!

With the nights now closing in, this evenings dog walk gave excellent views of the moon. On the downside, I only had my bridge camera and no tripod. Still. it was very atmospheric! Symphony was happy as well, playing with the assembled group of doggy friends!

A Cold and Frosty Morning!

Hopefully, you will have altered your clocks by turning them back one hour! This morning dawned bright but frosty and it was a pleasure to be out with Symphony, who enjoyed getting very soggy by rolling on the frosted grass! The early morning light was excellent and it was good to be able to capture the changes as we walked.
