Scarborough

Scarborough Harbour

With Storm Frank departing to wreak havoc elsewhere, today dawned bright, sunny but still with a cool, challenging breeze. Abigail and Henry asked to visit Scarborough, giving us the opportunity to check the furniture in Next before ordering it on-line. Something comfortable to sit on at last! Then it was off to the harbour and a take away Harry Ramsdens overlooking the beach. In order to wear off the calories, a walk along the busy beach was called for and chase the ball for Symphony.

Bridlington North Beach

Bridlington North Beach

Twelve months ago, I would never have dreamed that we would be living near the coast and spending a late December day on the beach, under blue skies and pleasantly mild temperatures! To be honest, the weather here is better than it was during July! Our thoughts must, however, go out to all those affected by the unprecedented floods and destruction, elsewhere in Yorkshire and western coast.

Rugby Bound!

A temporary goodbye to Bridlington North Beach! Blue skies and mild temperatures (can it really be mid-December?). These views could be anywhere in the world adorning travel brochures! We are so lucky! As we entered Rugby, a dullness surrounded us and rain drops began hitting the screen! Hey! Ho! Its Christmas!

A Very Happy Christmas to All My Blog Readers!

Bridlington North Beach

The weather forecast for today suggested the morning would be best before rain and strong winds set in around lunchtime. We decided to take Symphony to Bridlington North Beach in order to exercise us all!

Leaving Bempton, we were greeted by the sun rising over the sea, highlighting a common crane!

When we arrived at the beach, the sun was brightening the building cloud, which of course, begged to be photographed.

Symphony certainly enjoyed chasing her ball and exploring the waters edge. We are still keeping her on the long lead until she is more familiar with the area.

And of course, some of the local Oiks!
