Thornwick Bays, North Landing, Selwicks Bay and Flamborough Head.

Selwicks Bay

A dog walk with a difference this afternoon while we undertook a "Beached Birds" survey in the bays on the north side of Flamborough Headland. Luckily, we didn't find any dead, injured or oiled birds but climbing up and down into the bays on often very muddy paths, provided excellent, cheap exercise! The beaches seemed very clean. In addition to completing the survey, excellent photographic opportunities "threw" themselves at me! Oh! Symphony enjoyed the new smells she encountered!

Sunrise @ Bempton Village

Today dawned with light sleet showers, but light from the east had the promise of a nice morning! Walking Symphony up Cliff Lane, Bempton enabled me to capture a few images of golden light!

Sewerby

Early "Spring" Woodland Carpet

After yesterday's wet and miserable weather, a very "spring like" day begged us to enjoy the woodland walks at Sewerby Hall. Despite it being half term, it was very quiet around the woodlands with parent and children tending to collect around the children's playground, zoo and house. The woodland carpet was blessed with simple colours, under blue skies, pleasant, warm sunshine and a light breeze. We also picked up our annual passes enabling us access without additional payments!
